The abrasion conditioning will be performed on every device in which the strap is in contact with a rigid part of the belt, with the exception of all adjusting devices where the micro-slip test (7.3) shows that the strap slips by less than half the prescribed value, in which case, the procedure 1 abrasion conditioning (7.4.1.6.4.1) will not be necessary.
Elke inrichting waarbij de riem in contact komt met een stijf deel van de gordel moet aan schuring worden blootgesteld. De verstelsystemen hoeven evenwel niet aan schuring te worden blootgesteld als uit de microsliptest (punt 7.3) blijkt dat de riem over minder dan de helft van de voorgeschreven waarde verschuift. In dat geval hoeft schuurprocedure 1 (punt 7.4.1.6.4.1) niet te worden uitgevoerd.
