(a)In vitro and in vivo studies of actions relating to the proposed therapeutic use (i.e. pharmacodynamic ‘proof of concept’ studies) shall be provided using models and relevant animal species designed to show that the nucleic acid sequence reaches its intended target (target organ or cells) and provides its intended function (level of expression and functional activity).
a)er moet onderzoek, in vitro en in vivo, naar werkingen in verband met het voorgestelde therapeutische gebruik worden verstrekt (d.w.z. farmacodynamische studies om het concept te bewijzen) waarbij relevante modellen en diersoorten worden gebruikt en dat is opgezet om aan te tonen dat de nucleïnezuursequentie het beoogde target (doelwitorgaan of cellen) bereikt en haar beoogde functie vervult (niveau van expressie en functionele activiteit).
