The Commission, in association with the STECF, shall monitor the progress of the national programmes in the Committee for Fisheries and Aquaculture established by Article 30 of Regulation (EC) No 2371/2002 (hereinafter referred to as the Committee).

Furthermore there should be a regular exchange of information between Regional Advisory Councils and national bodies as well as with the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) .
(6) Gelet op de taken van het bij Besluit 1999/478/EG van de Commissie vernieuwde Raadgevend Comité voor de visserij en de aquacultuur (RCVA), dat bestaat uit vertegenwoordigers van een grote verscheidenheid aan Europese organisaties en belangengroepen, moeten de werkzaamheden van de regionale adviesraden worden gecoördineerd met die van het RCVA, waaraan zij tevens hun verslagen moeten toesturen; bovendien moet geregeld informatie worden uitgewisseld tussen regionale adviesraden en nationale organen, alsmede met de Internationale Raad voor het Onderzoek van de Zee (International Council for the Exploration of the Sea, ICES) .

In implementing the Regulation, the Commission will be assisted by the Committee for Fisheries and Aquaculture and the Committee for the management of Fisheries and Aquaculture for fleet management measures.
