2. By way of derogation from paragraph 1, air taxi, emergency medical service and single pilot CAT operations by aeroplanes shall be subject to Article 8(4) of Regulation (EEC) No 3922/91 and Subpart Q of Annex III to Regulation (EEC) No 3922/91 and to related national exemptions based on safety risk assessments carried out by the competent authorities.

In afwijking van lid 1, vallen luchttaxi-activiteiten met vleugelvliegtuigen; medische hulpvluchten en door één piloot uitgevoerde commerciële luchtvervoersactiviteiten onder artikel 8, lid 4, van Verordening (EEG) nr. 3922/91 en subdeel Q van bijlage III bij Verordening (EEG) nr. 3922/91 en de betrokken nationale ontheffingen op basis van een door de bevoegde autoriteiten uitgevoerde veiligheidsrisicobeoordeling.
