I. whereas Belgium and the Netherlands have partially stopped their foreign aid to Burundi because of the ongoing situation, the United States has suspended the training of Burundi soldiers for African peacekeeping missions over concerns that political violence in the country would hamper their ability to participate in such operations, and France has suspended its security cooperation with Burundi;
I. overwegende dat België en Nederland hun buitenlandse hulp aan Burundi gedeeltelijk hebben opgeschort vanwege de huidige situatie, dat de VS de training van Burundese soldaten voor Afrikaanse vredeshandhavingsmissies hebben opgeschort omdat zij zich zorgen maken of de soldaten nog wel kunnen deelnemen aan dergelijke operaties gezien het politieke geweld in het land, en dat Frankrijk zijn samenwerking met Burundi op veiligheidsgebied heeft opgeschort;
