We must recall – Commissioner Verheugen and others have done so – that the motor industry is of course dependent on the state of the economy and the price of oil and that buyer behaviour exhibits a dramatic loss of confidence in times of crisis in the financial markets.
We moeten in herinnering brengen – commissaris Verheugen en anderen hebben dat gedaan – dat de auto-industrie erg gevoelig is voor conjuncturele schommelingen en veranderingen in de olieprijzen en dat het koopgedrag zich in tijden van financiële crises kenmerkt door een dramatisch verlies van vertrouwen.
