TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Due to technical adaptations, Cyprus has requested the Commission to authorise the application of a new formula for the calculation of the lean meat content of carcases in the framework of the method for grading pig carcases authorised by Commission Decision 2005/7/EC (2), and has submitted the details required in Article 3 of Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2967/85 of 24 October 1985 laying down detailed rules for the application of the Community scale for grading pig carcases (3).
In verband met enkele technische aanpassingen heeft Cyprus de Commissie om toestemming verzocht voor het toepassen van een nieuwe formule voor de berekening van het mager-vleesaandeel van geslachte varkens in het kader van de bij Beschikking 2005/7/EG (2) toegelaten methode voor de indeling van geslachte varkens en heeft het de krachtens artikel 3 van Verordening (EEG) nr. 2967/85 van de Commissie van 24 oktober 1985 houdende nadere bepalingen voor de toepassing van het communautaire indelingsschema voor geslachte varkens (3) vereiste gegevens meegedeeld.

Article 2(3) of Regulation (EEC) No 3220/84 provides that the grading of pig carcases must be determined by estimating the content of lean meat in accordance with statistically proven assessment methods based on the physical measurement of one or more anatomical parts of the pig carcase; the authorisation of grading methods is subject to compliance with a maximum tolerance for statistical error in assessment; this tolerance was defined in Article 3 of Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2967/85 of 24 October 1985 laying down detailed rules for the application of the Community scale for grading pig carcases (2).
In artikel 2, lid 3, van Verordening (EEG) nr. 3220/84 is bepaald dat geslachte varkens moeten worden ingedeeld door het aandeel mager vlees te schatten met behulp van statistisch verantwoorde methoden die zijn gebaseerd op de fysieke meting van één of meer anatomische delen van het geslachte varken. Indelingsmethoden worden slechts toegelaten als een maximumtolerantie voor de statistische fout bij de schatting in acht wordt genomen. Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 3220/84 of 13 November 1984 determining the Community scale for grading pig carcases (1), and in particular Article 5(2) thereof,

The Community average market price for pig carcases is currently rather good and experts foresee stable and firm market prices for the first six months of 2005.
