Pursuant to Article 6(2) of Regulation (EU) No 167/2013, with effect from 1 January 2016, approval authorities shall not refuse, on grounds relating to functional safety with regard to braking performance, to grant EU type-approval to agricultural and forestry vehicle types which comply with the requirements of this Regulation.
Overeenkomstig artikel 6, lid 2, van Verordening (EU) nr. 167/2013 weigeren de goedkeuringsinstanties met ingang van 1 januari 2016 niet omwille van functionele veiligheidsaspecten die betrekking hebben op de remwerking EU-typegoedkeuring te verlenen voor typen van landbouw- en bosbouwvoertuigen die voldoen aan de voorschriften van deze verordening.

Manufacturers shall equip agricultural and forestry vehicles with systems, components and separate technical units affecting their functional safety that are designed, constructed and assembled so as to enable the vehicle in normal use and maintained according to the prescriptions of the manufacturer to comply with the detailed technical requirements and testing procedures laid down in Articles 5 to 38.

De fabrikanten rusten landbouw- en bosbouwvoertuigen uit met systemen, onderdelen en technische eenheden, voor zover deze invloed hebben op de functionele veiligheid van die voertuigen, die zo ontworpen, gebouwd en geassembleerd zijn dat het voertuig bij normaal gebruik en onderhoud volgens de voorschriften van de fabrikant voldoet aan de gedetailleerde technische voorschriften en testprocedures in de artikelen 5 tot en met 38.

The Commission, in close cooperation with all stakeholders and the European Food Safety Authority, shall make available appropriate technical guidance and tools to assist food business operators, in particular SMEs, in the preparation and presentation of an application for scientific assessment to the European Food Safety Authority, and, more generally, to comply with the requirements laid down in this Regulation.

(3) In addition, Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 provides that the European Food Safety Authority (the Authority) is to publish detailed guidance to assist the applicant in the preparation and the presentation of the application, concerning notably the information and data to be provided in order to demonstrate that the product complies with the criteria referred to in Articles 4(1) and 16(1) of that Regulation.

In compliance with the general principles of health and safety protection for workers, Member States may, in the case of sea and air transport, agriculture and forestry, derogate from Article 5(3) in duly justified circumstances with respect to whole-body vibration where, given the state of the art and the specific characteristics of workplaces, it is not possible to comply with the exposure limit value despite the technical and/or organisational measures taken.
