However, in order to accommodate minor contamination in the supply chain, Member States may, from 1 January 2011, permit gas oil intended for use by non-road mobile machinery (including inland waterway vessels), agricultural and forestry tractors and recreational craft to contain up to 20 mg/kg of sulphur at the point of final distribution to end users.
In verband met minder ernstige verontreiniging in de toeleveringsketen, kunnen de lidstaten per 1 januari 2011 echter toestaan dat gasolie die bestemd is voor gebruik in niet voor de weg bestemde mobiele machines (met inbegrip van binnenschepen), landbouwtrekkers of bosbouwmachines en pleziervaartuigen tot 20 mg/kg zwavel bevat op het laatste punt van distributie aan de eindverbruiker.

The scheme will bear the additional costs for the loading and unloading of containers on inland vessels during the night shift and the two weekend shifts (1 shift Saturday and 2 shift Sunday) so as not to discourage the inland waterway traffic from and to the Port of Antwerp during the works.
