TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

I would like to thank my colleague Mr Schulz for the support our group gave the Slovenian Presidency and, as President of the largest opposition party in Slovenia - the Social Democrats - I would also like to assure this esteemed House that, in the light of the parliamentary elections which will follow the end of the Slovenian Presidency of the European Union, I will not use the European politics of the Slovenian Presidency of the European Union to make it a target or a victim of our common endeavours for Slovenian success in this important international task. The success of the Prime Minister will be the success of the Slovenian Prime Minister, that of the whole of Slovenia and also my own success.

It is hard to understand why the Group of the European People’s Party (Christian Democrats) and European Democrats continues to endorse the rapporteur’s proposal even though the most important part was left out, namely the transferability of pension rights from one Member State to another.
Het is moeilijk te begrijpen waarom de Fractie van de Europese Volkspartij (Christen-democraten) en Europese Democraten steun blijft geven aan het voorstel van de rapporteur, nu het belangrijkste gedeelte daaruit is weggelaten, namelijk de overdraagbaarheid van pensioenrechten van de ene lidstaat naar de andere.

I should like to thank the shadow rapporteurs from other political groups, in particular Mrs Mastenbroek and Mr Lax, and I should like to thank publicly those MEPs on my side of the Chamber who have kept a close eye on this issue, who have always encouraged me and who have constantly showed their great concern over the pace at which SIS II was being implemented, in particular Mrs Bauer from Slovakia, Mr Brejc from Slovenia, Mrs Gál from Hungary, Mr Demetriou from Cyprus and of course Mrs Kudrycka from Poland, who will speak on behalf of the Group of the European People’s Party (Christian Democrats) and European Democrats in this debate.
Ik dank de schaduwrapporteurs van de andere fracties, met name mevrouw Mastenbroek en de heer Lax. Verder wil ik hier publiekelijk mijn dank betuigen aan de leden van mijn eigen fractie die mede op het correcte verloop van deze kwestie hebben toegezien, die mij voortdurend hebben aangemoedigd en die keer op keer hebben aangedrongen op de spoedige tenuitvoerlegging van SIS II. In this way, the rapporteurs of the Group of the European People’s Party (Christian Democrats) and European Democrats and the Socialist Group in the European Parliament are seeking to continue the policy of pandering to Europe’s captains of industry and the interests of the large economic and financial groups, opening up new business areas and placing a significant proportion of pension system funding in the hands of private profit.
Op die manier willen de rapporteurs van de Fractie van de Europese Volkspartij (Christen-democraten) en Europese Democraten en de Sociaal-democratische Fractie in het Europees Parlement hun beleid van concessies voortzetten aan het Europees grootkapitaal en aan de belangen van economische en financiële groepen.
