1. In the application of this Regulation, Regulation (EU) No ./2013 (ERDF), Regulation (EU) No ./2013 (ETC), Regulation (EU) No ./2013 (ESF) and Regulation (EU) No ./2013 (Cohesion Fund) the Commission shall be assisted by a Coordination Committee for the European Structural and Investment Funds. That committee shall be a committee within the meaning of Regulation (EU) No 182/2011.
1. Bij de toepassing van deze verordening, Verordening (EU) nr/2013 , Verordening (EU) nr/2013 +, Verordening (EU) nr/2013 ++ en Verordening (EU) nr/2013 +++ wordt de Commissie bijgestaan door een Coördinatiecomité voor de ESI-fondsen . 9. The Commission shall provide an annual summary of the financial implementation of cross-border and sea-basin programmes under the ENI, and of cross-border programmes under the IPA II, to which the ERDF contributes in accordance with this Article, to the Committee established under Article 150(1) of Regulation (EU) No 1303/2013.

Deplores the absence of formal reporting requirements and acknowledges the Commission's efforts in receiving information on the current use of FEIs from the Member States in the context of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF); welcomes the synthesis report of the information gathered by the Commission on "Financial Engineering Instruments Implemented by Member States with ERDF Contributions - situation as at 31 December 2010" (Synthesis Report on FEIs) as submitted to Parliament's Committee on Budgetary Control; notes that FEIs with a total commitment of approximately EUR 8 100 000 000 have been created and have received payments of approximately EUR 5 200 000 000 from 2007-2013 operational programmes by the end of 2010 (Annual Report, point 4.32);

welcomes the extension of the thematic objectives and investment priorities as stated in the European Parliament's texts for mandate concerning the ERDF and ETC draft regulations, as well as in the compromises adopted by the Council Presidency on the "thematic concentration" bloc; would underline, nevertheless, the importance of continuing to give special attention to themes relating to developing cultural heritage and tourism; regrets, however, that the EMPL committee report on the ESF does not propose any reduction in the concentration percentages proposed by the European Commission, contrary to the suggestion of the CoR;
Verder is het Comité ingenomen met de uitbreiding van de thematische doelstellingen en investeringsprioriteiten, zoals omschreven in de opmerkingen van het EP over de ontwerpverordeningen betreffende het EFRO en territoriale samenwerking en in de door het Raadsvoorzitterschap goedgekeurde compromissen over de cluster “thematische concentratie”, al is het belangrijk om maximale aandacht te blijven schenken aan de ontwikkeling van het culturele erfgoed en van het toerisme. Wel is het jammer dat de commissie EMPL in haar verslag over het ESF, in tegenstelling tot hetgeen het Comité heeft gesuggereerd, geen enkele reductie van de door de Commissie voorgestelde concentratiepercentages heeft voorgesteld.
