The exchange of information takes place through sector-specific technical working groups which bring together the Member States, industry and NGO experts, and it is managed by the Commission's European IPPC Bureau[9] (EIPPCB).

The information exchange on best available techniques and monitoring, provided for in the Directive (“Sevilla process”) is co-ordinated and facilitated by the European IPPC Bureau, which is part of the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies at the Commission’s Joint Research Centre, based in Seville.
