(2a) ‘device for aesthetic purposes’ means any instrument, apparatus, appliance, software, implant, material, substance or other article, intended by the manufacturer to be used, alone or in combination, for the purposes of modifying the physical appearance of human beings, without any therapeutic or reconstructive intent, by implanting it in the human body, attaching it to the surface of the eye or using it to induce a tissue or cell reaction on external or non-external parts of the human body.
(2 bis) „hulpmiddel voor esthetische doeleinden”: elk instrument, toestel of apparaat, elke software, elk implantaat, materiaal, elke stof of elk ander artikel dat of die door de fabrikant is bestemd om alleen of in combinatie te worden gebruikt bij de mens voor een wijziging van het fysieke uiterlijk, zonder therapeutisch of reconstructief doeleinde, door implantatie in het menselijk lichaam, hechting aan het oppervlak van het oog, het teweeg brengen van een weefsel- of celreactie, al dan niet aan de buitenkant van het menselijke lichaam;
