While the partner countries do not rank among the largest greenhouse gas emitters, they have important potential to pursue further efforts of mitigation (e.g., through increased energy efficiency or promotion of sustainable transport) as well as adaptation (e.g., in the fields of agriculture, water management or preparedness to address natural hazards such as floods and drought).
