In the Council conclusions on SIS II of 26 to 27 February 2009 and 4 to 5 June 2009, an informal body consisting of experts of the Member States and designated as the 'Global Programme Management Board' was established to enhance cooperation and provide direct support from the Member States to Central SIS II. A group of experts, called the Global Programme Management Board (GPMB), should therefore be formally established under this Regulation to complement the current organisational structure.
