The European Commission has granted regulatory clearance to an agreement which will give Germany's Deutsche Post AG sole control of Bermuda-based express mail company DHL International Ltd. The operation will not significantly modify the current competitive structure of the market since Deutsche Post is already closely linked to DHL, which it presently shares control of with Lufthansa.
De Europese Commissie heeft haar goedkeuring verleend voor een overeenkomst waarbij Deutsche Post AG uitsluitende zeggenschap zal verkrijgen over DHL International, een op Bermuda gevestigde onderneming voor expressepostdiensten. De operatie zal de huidige concurrentiestructuur op de markt niet noemenswaardig veranderen, omdat Deutsche Post al nauwe banden heeft met DHL, waarover het momenteel - samen met Lufthansa - zeggenschap uitoefent.
