On the basis of that Decision, the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG), the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation (the IFRS Foundation), which is the legal successor to the International Accounting Standards Committee Foundation (IASCF), and the Public Interest Oversight Board (PIOB) benefited from Union co-financing in the form of operating grants until 31 December 2013.

Welcomes the first annual report by the European Statistical Governance Advisory Board and agrees inter alia with its conclusion that the legal underpinning of national statistical authorities‘ professional independence should be pursued in those Member States where this has not yet been done; looks forward to an assessment by the Commission (Eurostat) in the context of its annual monitoring of compliance with the Code of Practice, as stipulated in the Recommendation of the Commission on the independence, integrity and accountability of the national and Community statistical authorities (COM(2005)0217 final);
21. verwelkomt het eerste jaarverslag van de Europese Adviescommissie voor statistische governance en is het onder meer eens met de daarin opgenomen conclusie dat de wettelijke onderbouwing van de professionele onafhankelijkheid van nationale statistische instanties moet worden nagestreefd in die lidstaten waar dit nog niet is verwezenlijkt; ziet uit naar een beoordeling door de Commissie (Eurostat) in het kader van haar jaarlijkse controle van de naleving van de praktijkcode zoals omschreven in de Aanbeveling van de Commissie over de onafhankelijkheid, integriteit en verantwoordingsplicht van de nationale en communautaire statistische instanties (COM(2005)0217);

WELCOMES the agreement reached with the European Parliament and the Commission on the establishment of the European Statistical Governance Advisory Board (ESGAB) and the European Statistical Advisory Committee (ESAC), and LOOKS FORWARD to their swift establishment; WELCOMES the initiative to modernise the current legal framework governing the development, production and dissemination of European Statistics; and TAKES NOTE that the Commission forwarded to the Council, in accordance with the procedure laid down in article 251 of the Treaty (co-decision), a proposal for a Regulation on European Statistics; and RECOGNISES the major efforts required by National Statistical Institutes and Eurostat in the peer review exercise, as well as the high commitment of the partners involved, LOOKS FORWARD to the report to the European Parliament and the Council on progress with the compliance with the European Statistics Code of Practice in 2008; and UNDERLINES the importance that all Member States provide the necessary input to Eurostat according to the agreed timetable.
IS VERHEUGD dat het Europees Parlement en de Commissie overeenstemming hebben bereikt over de oprichting van de Europese Adviescommissie voor statistische governance (EACSG) en het Europees Raadgevend Comité voor de statistiek (ERCS) en ZIET UIT naar de spoedige instelling ervan; IS INGENOMEN met het initiatief om het huidige rechtskader voor het ontwikkelen, opstellen en verspreiden van Europese statistieken te moderniseren; en NEEMT er NOTA van dat de Commissie overeenkomstig de procedure van artikel 251 van het Verdrag (de medebeslissingsprocedure) aan de Raad een voorstel heeft toegezonden voor een verordening over Europese statistieken; en ERKENT dat grote inspanningen van de nationale bureaus voor de statistiek en Eurostat nodig zijn in het kader van de "peer review", evenals een grote inzet van de betrokken partners; ZIET UIT naar het verslag aan het Europees Parlement en de Raad over de vorderingen met betrekking tot de naleving van de Praktijkcode Europese statistieken in 2008; en ONDERSTREEPT dat het belangrijk is dat alle lidstaten Eurostat de nodige input aanbieden volgens het overeengekomen tijdschema.

Following the demise of the ECSC Treaty, the ECSC’s legal system and procedures disappeared straightaway and its Advisory Board was dissolved.
Met het verlopen van het EGKS-Verdrag zijn het rechtsstelsel en de voor deze Gemeenschap geldende procedures buiten werking gesteld, terwijl ook het Raadgevend Comité van de EGKS is opgeheven.

Transparency will be achieved by consulting external groups of experts (the Internet Working Party and the Legal Advisory Board) as well as actively using the information services of the Commission in connection with the awareness measures.
