22. is verheugd over het voornemen van de Commissie om Richtlijn 2004/37 betreffende de bescherming van de werknemers tegen de risico's van blootstelling aan carcinogene of mutagene agentia op het werk te herzien; onderstreept dat het toepassingsgebied van die richtlijn moet worden uitgebreid om rekening te houden met nieuwe risicofactoren en voor de voortplanting giftige stoffen, dat de bescherming en preventie duidelijk moeten worden verbeterd door de blootstellingsgrenswaarden (OELV’s) voor benzeen, het monomeer vinylchloride en hardhoutstof restrictiever te maken en door OELV’s voor een veel groter aantal carcinogene agentia vast te stellen dan in de huidige richtlijn wordt bepaald, met name voor kristallijn siliciumoxide;
