S. overwegende dat informatie- en communicatietechnologieën (ICT) kunnen helpen de klimaatverandering tegen te gaan, niet alleen door hun eigen aandeel in de uitstoot van broeikasgassen te reduceren, maar ook middels gebruik ervan om de uitstoot in andere sectoren te verminderen en systemische veranderingen en afgeleide effecten te bewerkstelligen, zoals bijvoorbeeld dematerialisatie en online-levering, het terugdringen van vervoer- en reistijd, toepassingen voor toezicht en beheer, grotere energie-efficiëntie in productie en gebruik, en rentmeesterschap ten aanzien van producten en recycling;

Considers that industrial farming practices in the developing world will lead to environmentally damaging practices which will, in the long term, destroy their food production potential; suggests that training should focus on climate adaptation and good land stewardship practices, such as soil and water management, to prevent the loss of farmland due to soil erosion or salinisation, in line with International Assessment of Agricultural Knowledge, Science and Technology (IAASTD) conclusions;
11. is van oordeel dat industriële landbouwpraktijken in de ontwikkelingslanden tot voor het milieu schadelijke praktijken zullen leiden die, op langere termijn, vernietigend zullen zijn voor hun voedselproductiepotentieel; stelt voor dat bij training de nadruk ligt op aanpassing aan de klimaatverandering en een goed grondbeheer, zoals bodem- en waterbeheer, om te voorkomen dat landbouwgrond verloren gaat door bodemerosie of verzilting, overeenkomstig de conclusies van International Assessment of Agricultural Knowledge, Science and Technology (IAASTD);

Moreover, this direct feedback mechanism between Directive 2000/60/EC and this Regulation will also provide an extra incentive for producers to seriously consider their responsibilities in terms of product stewardship.
Directe koppeling tussen Richtlijn 2000/60/EG en de onderhavige verordening is bovendien een extra prikkel voor producenten om zich bewust te zijn van hun verantwoordelijkheid voor hun producten.
