Calls upon the governments of the Member States and the candidate countries to provide specialised sexual and reproductive health services which include high quality and professional advice and counselling adapted to the needs of specific groups (e.g. immigrants), provided by a trained, multidisciplinary staff; underlines that advice and counselling must be confidential and non-judgmental and that in the event of legitimate conscientious objection of the provider, referral to other service providers must take place; where advice on abortion is provided, attention must be drawn to the physical and psychological health risks associated with abortion, and alternative solutions (adoption, availability of support in the event of a decision to keep the child) must be discussed;

It has focused on two areas: financial services and housing, its intention being to achieve greater clarity in provisions relating to the legitimate age-based or disability-based distinctions which are made in financial services (e.g. insurance, life assurance, loans, mortgages), and to draft more clearly the texts governing housing, for instance those relating to scope and to the meaning of "improvement".
Het heeft zich toegelegd op twee deelgebieden: financiële diensten en huisvesting. Het voorzitterschap streeft ernaar om meer duidelijkheid te brengen in de bepalingen betreffende legitieme, op leeftijd of op een beperking gebaseerde onderscheiden in financiële diensten (bijvoorbeeld verzekeringen, levensverzekeringen, leningen, hypotheken), en om de bepalingen in de tekst betreffende huisvesting duidelijker te maken, bijvoorbeeld wat betreft de werkingssfeer en de betekenis van het begrip "verbeteren".
