In February DG Regional Policy inspection staff examined two projects:

The seminars, which were assisted and supervised by the staff of DG Regional Policy, were complementary to the training activities that DG Regional Policy carried out previously in candidate countries with its own staff.

Good progress was made under regional policy and coordination of structural instruments , notably on preparing strategic documents and designating the institutions and mechanisms to implement EU cohesion policy, recruit and train further staff.
