Europe’s higher education systems offer a number of competitive advantages that should be exploited, such as a strong and successful track record in joint and double degrees, doctoral schools, industrial doctorates and the recent development of EIT[21] Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) in fields of global relevance.
