On 1 October 2014 the Agency submitted to the Commission the opinions of RAC and SEAC based on which the Commission concluded that the presence of NPE in textile articles poses an unacceptable risk to the environment which needs to be addressed on a Union-wide basis.

(A) Whereas this application is based on Article 2 (b) of the EGF regulation and targets for support 300 workers of the total of 560 workers dismissed in 198 enterprises operating in the NACE Revision 2 Division 52 ("manufacture of textiles") within the reference period between 1 November 2012 and 1 August 2013 in the NUTS II region of Comunidad Valenciana (ES52).
(A) Deze aanvraag is gebaseerd op artikel 2, letter b), van de EFG-verordening en heeft betrekking op de steunverlening aan 300 van de in totaal 560 werknemers in 198 ondernemingen ingedeeld in NACE Rev. 2-afdeling 52 ("vervaardiging van textiel") die zijn ontslagen tijdens de referentieperiode van 1 november 2012 tot 1 augustus 2013 in de NUTS II-regio Comunidad Valenciana (ES52).

However, my concern today, Commissioner, is based on the unprecedented increase in seizures of counterfeit textile and leather articles, articles that are impregnated with azo dyes or nickel, which put the security and the health of European consumers increasingly at risk.

g) Niet onder b) tot en met f) bedoelde textielproducten | Steunstukken, verstevigingen, dubbele voeringen en binddoek, naai- en rijggarens, tenzij deze de kettingen en/of inslagen van de stof vervangen, vullingen met een andere dan isolerende functie en, behoudens artikel 13, lid 1, voeringen. Voor de toepassing van deze bepaling: i) worden niet beschouwd als te verwijderen steunstukken, de basisstoffen van textielproducten die als grondlaag voor de gebruikslaag dienen, met name de basisstoffen van dekens en van dubbelweefsels en het basismateriaal van producten van fluweel of van pluche en van aanverwante producten; ii) worden onder verstevigingen verstaan, de garens of stoffen die op specifieke en beperkte plaatsen aan het textielproduct worden toegevoegd om het te versterken, dan wel stijver of dikker te maken. |
