The approval granted for two-wheel mopeds may be extended to include tricycles and quadricycles other than light quadricycles if they use the same engine and the same exhaust system and have the same transmission which differs only in respect of the gear ratio, provided that the reference mass of the vehicle type for which extension of the approval is requested merely results in the application of the next higher or lower inertia mass equivalents.
De voor een tweewielige bromfiets verleende goedkeuring mag worden uitgebreid tot driewielers en vierwielers geen lichte vierwielers zijnde, wanneer die dezelfde motor en dezelfde uitlaatinrichting gebruiken, en dezelfde transmissie hebben die alleen voor de totale overbrenging afwijkt, mits de referentiemassa van het voertuigtype waarvoor uitbreiding van de goedkeuring is aangevraagd slechts tot gebruik van het onmiddellijk hogere of lagere traagheidsequivalent leidt.
