TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

In all, five NUTS 2 regions were affected by the disaster: the East Macedonia and Thrace region (Evros flooding) as well as the Epirus, West Greece, Central Greece and Thessaly regions (central and western Greece flooding).
In totaal werden vijf regio's op NUTS-niveau 2 getroffen door de ramp: de regio's Oost-Macedonië en Thracië (overstromingen in Evros) alsook de regio's Epirus, West-Griekenland, Centraal Griekenland en Thessalië (overstromingen in centraal en westelijk Griekenland).

(A) Whereas this application is based on Article 4(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) No 1309/2013 (EGF Regulation) and relates to 600 workers dismissed in Odyssefs Fokas S.A. which operated in the NACE Rev. 2 division 47 ('Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles') mainly located in regions of Central Macedonia, Attica and Thessaly; whereas the reference period is from 3 February 2014 to 3 June 2014; whereas the application furthermore relates to 500 young persons not in employment, education or training (NEETs);
(A) overwegende dat deze aanvraag gebaseerd is op artikel 4, lid 1, onder a), van Verordening (EU) nr. 1309/2013 (EFG-verordening) en betrekking heeft op het ontslag van 600 werknemers bij Odyssefs Fokas S.A., een onderneming die actief was in de economische sector die is ingedeeld in NACE Rev. 2 - afdeling 47 ("Detailhandel, met uitzondering van de handel in auto's en motorfietsen"), hoofdzakelijk in de regio's Centraal-Macedonië, Attica en Thessalië; overwegende dat de referentieperiode loopt van 3 februari 2014 tot en met 3 juni 2014; overwegende dat de aanvraag ook betrekking heeft op 500 jongeren die niet werken en evenmin onderwijs of een opleiding volgen (NEET's);

9. Welcomes that additionally, the Greek authorities will provide personalised services co-financed by the EGF for up to 500 young people not in employment, education or training (NEETs) under the age of 30 on the date of submission of the application, given that all of the redundancies referred to in paragraph 8 occur in the NUTS level 2 regions of Κεντρική Μακεδονία (Central Macedonia) (EL12), Θεσσαλία (Thessaly) (EL14) and Aττική (Attica) (EL30), which are eligible under the Youth Employment Initiative, hence the total number of beneficiaries is 1100;
9. is ingenomen met het feit dat de Griekse autoriteiten daarnaast individuele, door het EFG medegefinancierde dienstverlening zullen verstrekken aan maximaal 500 jongeren die geen werk hebben en evenmin onderwijs of een opleiding volgen (NEET's) en die op de datum van de indiening van de aanvraag jonger waren dan 30 jaar, aangezien alle ontslagen die in punt 8 worden vermeld zich voordoen in de NUTS II-regio's Κεντρική Μακεδονία (Centraal-Macedonië) (EL12), Θεσσαλία (Thessalië) (EL14) en Aττική (Attica) (EL30), die voor het Jeugdwerkgelegenheidsinitiatief in aanmerking komen, wat dus betekent dat er in totaal 1 100 begunstigden zijn;

(G) Whereas most of the redundancies (90 %) are concentrated in Attica and Central Macedonia whilst about 10 % of the redundancies occurred in the region of Thessaly; whereas in Q4 2013, the unemployment rate in Attica (28.2 %) and Central Macedonia (30.3 %) was above the national average (27.5 %);

The implementation rate of the OPs varied greatly and in some cases was still a cause for concern at the end of the year, in particular the OPs "technical assistance", "fisheries", "Thessaly", "health", "West Macedonia", "North Aegean", "Epirus", "information society" and "continental Greece".
