TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, a two-generation reproductive toxicity study is to be used to investigate the reproductive toxicity of chemical substances to fulfil the standard information requirements in point 8.7.3 of Annexes IX and X to that Regulation.
Overeenkomstig Verordening (EG) nr. 1907/2006 dient de giftigheid voor de voortplanting van chemische stoffen te worden getoetst middels een onderzoek naar de giftigheid voor de voortplanting met twee generaties omwille van de verplichte standaardinformatie voor stoffen als bedoeld in punt 8.7.3 van de bijlagen IX en X bij die verordening.

In order to avoid imposing a disproportionate burden on the economic operators who may have already performed the tests or acquired results of two-generation reproductive toxicity study, as well as for animal welfare reasons, the robust study summaries of those studies that were initiated before the date of the entry into force of this Regulation should be considered appropriate to address the standard information requirement in point 8.7.3 of Annexes IX and X to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.
Teneinde te voorkomen dat marktdeelnemers die de tests al hebben uitgevoerd of die beschikken over de resultaten van onderzoek naar de giftigheid voor de voortplanting met twee generaties onevenredig worden belast, alsmede omwille van het dierenwelzijn, worden de uitgebreide onderzoekssamenvattingen van onderzoek dat is begonnen voor de inwerkingtreding van deze verordening geacht te voldoen aan de verplichting tot verstrekking van standaardinformatie als bedoeld in punt 8.7.3 van de bijlagen IX en X bij Verordening (EG) nr. 1907/2006.

For reasons of consistency, point 8.7.1, column 2 of Annex VIII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 should be amended in order to change the cross-reference to the study required under point 8.7.3 of Annex IX to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 from the two-generation reproductive toxicity study to EOGRTS.
Omwille van de consistentie dient punt 8.7.1, kolom 2, van bijlage VIII bij Verordening (EG) nr. 1907/2006 zodanig te worden gewijzigd dat in punt 8.7.3 van bijlage IX bij die verordening wordt verwezen naar de EOGRTS in plaats van naar onderzoek naar de giftigheid voor de voortplanting met twee generaties.

Furthermore, column 2 of point 8.7.1 of Annex VIII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 provides that the two-generation reproductive toxicity study is a possibility to assess the cases where there are serious concerns about the potential for adverse effects on fertility or development.
Bovendien kan overeenkomstig kolom 2 van punt 8.7.1 van bijlage VIII bij Verordening (EG) nr. 1907/2006 een onderzoek naar de giftigheid voor de voortplanting met twee generaties worden uitgevoerd om gevallen te beoordelen waarin er grote zorg bestaat over de potentiële schadelijke effecten voor de vruchtbaarheid of de ontwikkeling.

For the purpose of subparagraph 3.2(a)(ii), without prejudice to column 2 of Section 8.7 of Annexes IX and X, a DNEL derived from a screening test for reproductive/developmental toxicity shall not be considered appropriate to omit a prenatal developmental toxicity study or a two-generation reproductive toxicity study.
Met het oog op punt 3.2, onder a), ii), wordt een DNEL die van een screeningtest voor giftigheid voor de voortplanting/ontwikkelingstoxiciteit is afgeleid, onverminderd kolom 2 van punt 8.7 van de bijlagen IX en X niet als adequaat beschouwd om een onderzoek naar prenatale ontwikkelingstoxiciteit of een onderzoek naar giftigheid voor de voortplanting over twee generaties achterwege te laten.
