The situation was even worse as regards the vegetation protection threshold (200 µg/m³). It was exceeded widely and frequently: at 94 stations located in 13 different countries exceedances were reported on more than 200 days.

Ozone concentrations measured at more than 1400 stations are still well above the thresholds for the protection of the population and vegetation set in the current Ozone Directive .
