De Raad heeft op 17 april 1995 via de schriftelijke procedure het besluit aangenomen betreffende de ondertekening en de voorlopige toepassing, onder voorbehoud van sluiting, van de overeenkomst tussen de Gemeenschap en Canada, die op 16 april 1995 tussen de Commissie en de Canadese autoriteiten is geparafeerd. Mrs Bonino welcomed the fact that on Thursday, 16 February 1995, the European Parliament voted unanimously for a resolution asking the Commission and the Council to initiate objection proceedings against the decision adopted by the North-west Atlantic Fishing Organization on 1 February last in Brussels. This decision allocated the total allowable catch (TAC) of Greenland halibut for 1995 among the Contracting Parties of NAFO".
Mevr. Bonino verheugt zich erover dat het Europees Parlement op donderdag 16 februari 1995 met algemene stemmen een resolutie heeft goedgekeurd waarbij de Commissie en de Raad wordt verzocht bezwaar aan te tekenen tegen het besluit dat de NAFO (de Visserijorganisatie voor het noordwestelijk deel van de Atlantische Oceaan) op 1 februari jl. te Brussel heeft genomen met betrekking tot de verdeling over de leden van deze organistie van de TAC (totaal toegestande vangsten) voor zwarte heilbot voor 1995".
