As regards the World Trade Organisation (WTO) aspects of the proposal, the Commission proposes to end export refunds for fruit and vegetables, as the role played by refunds for this sector has considerably fallen over the year, and to reinforce the green box character of the aids while maintaining elements of the import system such as the safeguard clause and the entry prices system.
Met betrekking tot de WTO-aspecten van het voorstel, stelt de Commissie voor om uitvoerrestituties voor fruit en groente af te schaffen. De rol van die restituties in deze sector is de afgelopen jaren aanzienlijk kleiner geworden. Daarnaast kan op deze manier het “green box”-karakter van de steun worden versterkt, terwijl een aantal elementen van het invoersysteem gehandhaafd kan blijven, zoals de vrijwaringsclausule en het systeem voor invoerprijzen.
