Supports the impartial work of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission and commends its reporting activities; urges the parties in conflict not to create obstacles to the work of the Special Monitoring Mission, and calls on the OSCE members to ensure that the mission has all necessary equipment and personnel to perform its mandate, as well as to increase its monitoring capabilities and capacity to facilitate dialogue on the ground;

Stresses the need to increase the level of cooperation and consultation between the Council’s Working Party on Fundamental Rights (FREMP) and Human Rights Working Group (COHOM); calls for this cooperation and consultation to be extended to the EU Special Representative for Human Rights; calls on both bodies to make full use of the Council of Europe’s expertise and instruments and of UN special procedures, including when preparing new initiatives with a view to articulating and promoting common values and international standards;

Whilst the proposal foresees a so-called 'end of application' for derived products intended for further processing, treatment or transformation in specialized plants (e.g. cosmetic products, medicinal products.), it would only be logic to foresee such end of application for finished products which will not be further treated, transformed or processed, but which are put on the market in ready-to-sale packaging, such as pet food produced according to the safety requirements of the regulation.
Het voorstel voorziet in een zogenaamd "eindpunt" voor afgeleide producten die bestemd zijn voor verdere verwerking, behandeling of omzetting in gespecialiseerde bedrijven (bijv. cosmetische producten, geneesmiddelen, ...); het spreekt evenwel voor zich tevens te voorzien in een eindpunt voor eindproducten die niet verder worden behandeld, omgezet of verwerkt, maar in de handel worden gebracht in een verkoopsklare verpakking, zoals voeder voor gezelschapsdieren dat vervaardigd is overeenkomstig de veiligheidsvoorschriften van deze verordening.

37. Calls for ongoing support for Special Procedures in terms of finance and staff; expresses its support for the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights , as this is an important source of financing for Special Procedures; welcomes the initiatives of the Working Party on Human Rights (COHOM) presidency to enhance its cooperation with Special Rapporteurs, notably by means of systematic invitations to relevant meetings;

Consequently, the Commission has negotiated this Agreement on the basis of the combined negotiating directives adopted by the Council, and in consultation with the ACP Working Party and the Africa Working Group, appointed by the Council according to their respective responsibilities, as the special committees to assist in this task.

2. Member States shall transmit to the Agency the names of national experts with proven experience in the evaluation of medicinal products who would be available to serve on working parties or scientific advisory groups of the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use, the Committee on Herbal Medicinal Products or the Committee for Medicinal Products for Veterinary Use, together with an indication of their qualifications and specific areas of expertise.
2. De lidstaten delen aan het bureau de namen van nationale deskundigen mee die aantoonbaar ervaring op het gebied van de geneesmiddelenbeoordeling bezitten en die zitting kunnen nemen in de werkgroepen of wetenschappelijke adviesgroepen van het Comité voor geneesmiddelen voor menselijk gebruik, het Comité voor geneesmiddelen op basis van planten of het Comité voor geneesmiddelen voor diergeneeskundig gebruik, samen met een overzicht van hun bekwaamheden en specialismen.
