Pour faire face à l’hétérogénéité de la manifestation de la maladie chez les patients, on a eu recours à un critère d’évaluation composite qui résumait les changements cliniquement significatifs sur cinq variables d’efficacité (CVF normale prédite en pourcentage, test de marche TM6M, amplitude des mouvements de flexion des épaules, indice d’apnée/hypopnée (AHI) et acuité visuelle). La réponse globale était une amélioration chez 26 patients (58 %), aucun changement chez 10 patients (22 %) et une détérioration chez 9 patients (20 %).

De globale respons kwam voor 26 patiënten (58%) neer op een verbetering, bij 10 patiënten (22%) trad geen verandering op, en bij 9 patiënten (20%) werd een verslechtering vastgesteld.
