Secundaire preventie van cerebrovasculaire accidenten Antiaggregantia Een nieuwe meta-analyse (5 studies, 7.612 patiënten), deze keer met individuele patiëntengegevens, bevestigt de resultaten van een vroegere meta-analyse (met o.a. inclusie van de ESPRIT-studie, zie Folia augustus 2006): de combinatie acetylsalicylzuur + dipyridamol is significant werkzamer dan monotherapie met acetylsalicylzuur in de secundaire preventie na cerebrovasculair accident, op het primaire samengesteld eindpunt van vasculaire mortaliteit en niet-fataal cerebrovasculair accident of myocardinfarct (Number Needed to Treat of NNT = 100) [J Neurol Neurosurg Psychiatry 2008; 79:1218-23].
