Le dabigatran et le rivaroxaban ne sont actuellement pas remboursés par l’INAMI pour la prévention des thrombo-embolies dans la fibrillation auriculaire, mais bien pour la prévention des thrombo-embolies veineuses dans le cadre de la chirurgie orthopédique (situation au 01/03/12).
Ten slotte dient de hoge kostprijs van deze nieuwe anticoagulantia in overweging te worden genomen bij de keuze van een dergelijke langdurige en frequent toegepaste behandeling. Dabigatran en rivaroxaban worden door het RIZIV op dit ogenblik niet terugbetaald voor de preventie van trombo-embolie bij voorkamerfibrillatie, maar wel voor de preventie van veneuze trombo-embolie bij chirurgische ingreep (situatie op 01/03/12).
