Probably it is more a question of what the market is willing to pay instead of real underlying costs. The Ministerial Order of 15 May 2008 granted the same price to the Edwards SAPIEN valve justifying that this price is based on the price of the Melody.
The price of the Corevalve was granted by the Ministerial Order of September 15, 2008.
