De hoofdtaak van het FLVVT is het uitvoeren van analyses in opdracht van het FAVV. Het FLVVT concentreert zich hierbij voornamelijk op de analyse van contaminanten (dioxines, PCB’s), ongewenste stoffen (mycotoxines) en toevoegingsmiddelen (vitamines, antibiotica, coccidiostatica).
