G. overwegende dat absint bekendstaat als gedistilleerde drank die wordt verkregen door ethylalcohol uit landbouwproducten of een distillaat uit landbouwproducten te aromatiseren met absintalsem (Artemisia absinthium L.), Romeinse alant (Artemisia pontica L.), groene anijs (Pimpinella anisum L.), venkel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill.), en andere planten, afhankelijk van hun beschikbaarheid in de regio;
