Selon le European Network on Debt and Development (Eurodad), un réseau de 51 ONG européennes actives dans le financement du développement, les gouvernements dans les pays en développement passent chaque année à côté de 340 milliards d'euros, parce que les entreprises effectuent des transactions transfrontalières pour détourner les recettes issues de ces pays, la plupart du temps vers des paradis fiscaux.
Volgens Eurodad, het European Network on Debt and Development, een netwerk van 51 Europese ngo's die werken rond de financiering van ontwikkeling, lopen regeringen in ontwikkelingslanden jaarlijks 340 miljard euro mis, omdat bedrijven grensoverschrijdende transacties opzetten om de winsten uit ontwikkelingslanden te versluizen, meestal naar belastingparadijzen.
