Ce fut en tant qu'intervenant, le 15 juin 2016, au cours du panel intitulé "Digital technologies' contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals", pendant lequel j'ai pu rappeler mon initiative pionnière en matière d'application du savoir-faire numérique au profit de programmes de coopération au développement et, en tant que modérateur/animateur, le 16 juin 2016, durant le panel intitulé "Building win-win partnerships for women's and girls' economic empowerment".
Op 15 juni 2016 was dit als spreker in het panel "Digital technologies' contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals", waar ik heb kunnen verwijzen naar mijn pioniersinitiatief betreffende de toepassing van de digitale know-how ten bate van ontwikkelingssamenwerkingsprogramma's. Op 16 juni 2016 was ik moderator/animator in het panel "Building win-win partnerships for women's and girls' economic empowerment".

Dans les interventions d'autres participants, j'ai noté quelques idées: - création d'un hub d'entrepreneurs pour entreprendre dans les pays en développement, - partenariat "ICT for Development" avec des entreprises ICT actives en Afrique, - et un accrochage du secteur privé aux objectifs de développement durable (post 2015) via par exemple un "Partnership for Good Economic Growth".
Uit de discussies onthoud ik onder meer volgende ideeën die ook voor de Belgische ontwikkelingssamenwerking interessant kunnen zijn: - een entrepreneurs-hub oprichten voor ondernemen in ontwikkelingslanden, - partnership "ICT for Development" met bedrijven die op ICT-vlak actief zijn in Afrika, - de SDG's (post 2015) en de band met de private sector bv met "Partnership for Good Economic Growth".

Parmi les recommandations émises depuis de nombreuses années dans la lutte contre le blanchiment et la fraude fiscale, l'application de mesures plus strictes à l'égard des paradis fiscaux trouve une place de choix. a) Depuis le rapport de la Commission d'enquête relative à la lutte contre la fraude fiscale adopté en mai 2009 et en particulier la recommandation 97, où en sommes-nous au niveau des conventions préventives de double imposition conclues avec les paradis fiscaux identifiés par l'OCDE (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development)? b) Avons-nous, ainsi que le recommandait le rapport, rompu ces conventions afin d'éviter d'avoir à en souffrir les effets pervers d'une évasion fiscale totale?

De toepassing van strengere maatregelen ten opzichte van belastingparadijzen is al lang een van de belangrijkste aanbevelingen in het kader van de bestrijding van witwaspraktijken en belastingfraude. a) Wat is de situatie met betrekking tot de dubbelbelastingverdragen die werden gesloten met de belastingparadijzen uit de OESO-lijst (OECD, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) sinds de goedkeuring in mei 2009 van het verslag en meer in het bijzonder aanbeveling 97 van de onderzoekscommissie belast met het onderzoek van de grote fiscale fraudedossiers? b) Heeft ons land deze verdragen opgezegd, zoals aanbevolen in het verslag, teneinde te voorkomen dat wij de kwalijke gevolgen moeten ondergaan van grootschalige belastingontduiking?

Le rapporteur partage l'avis de la Commission (document de travail des services de la Commission, p. 14), qui s'exprime en ces termes: "In line with their common belief that full respect for human rights is the best guarantee for sustainable economic development and social stability, the two partners should hold regular exchanges of views, on issues such as: gender discrimination; minorities’ rights, in particular caste-based discrimination; religious freedom; the death penalty; the fight against terrorism; environmental rights".
De rapporteur deelt het standpunt van de Commissie, uitgedrukt in het Werkdocument van de diensten van de Commissie, blz. 14), dat, ‘in overeenstemming met hun gezamenlijke overtuiging dat de volledige eerbied voor de mensenrechten de beste garantie is voor duurzame economische ontwikkeling en sociale stabiliteit, de twee partners regelmatig van gedachten moeten wisselen over kwesties als: discriminatie op grond van geslacht, de rechten van minderheden, in het bijzonder discriminatie op grond van kaste, godsdienstvrijheid, de doodstraf, de strijd tegen terrorisme, milieurechten’.
