Le 27 mars 2014, l'Union européenne, par l'intermédiaire de l'ancien commissaire pour la coopération au développement, Andris Piebalgs, s'est engagée à fournir 2 millions d'euros pour soutenir la Regional Cooperation Initiative for the elimination of the Lord's Resistance Army de l'Union africaine pour une période de 17 mois, soit jusque fin août 2015.

7. de chercher à adhérer, en qualité d'observateur, aux initiatives nationales existantes telles que la Providing for Health Initiative allemande, la Global Campaign for the Health Millennium Goals norvégienne, l'International Health Partnership britannique, l'Initiative pour sauver un million de vies canadiennes, la Couverture Maladie Universelle française et à d'autres initiatives du même genre; dans le cadre de cette fonction, d'attirer systématiquement l'attention sur les différentes initiatives similaires et d'insister sur la création d'un système global coordonné (sous la direction de l'Organisation mondiale de la santé, de l'ONUSIDA et d'autres organisations de l'ONU), chargé, en utilisant de préférence un système de financement existant, d'œuvrer pour un système de financement unique, appelé en l'occurrence « Fonds mondial de la santé »;

La Belgique a également contribué à l'initiative IMPACT (International Medical Products Anti-Counterfeiting Taskforce) de l'OMS dans laquelle elle a joué un rôle directeur pour l'installation du réseau et du Single Point of Contact (SPOC).
België heeft ook bijgedragen tot het IMPACT-initiatief (International Medical Products Anti-Counterfeiting Taskforce) van de WGO waarin het een leidende rol heeft gespeeld in de oprichting van een netwerk en van een Single Point of Contact (SPOC).
