En juillet 2008, un comité d’experts de la société dentaire américaine (American Dental Association), après avoir réalisé une étude approfondie de toutes les données existantes, ont une nouvelle fois formulé leur position comme suit : « .. that the current evidence does not support a link between dental amalgam and systemic diseases or risks to children, pregnant women or developing fetuses ».
