Le "tachygraphe intelligent", c'est-à-dire l'application de la nouvelle technologie par satellite, deviendra obligatoire 40 mois après que les spécifications techniques relatives au nouveau tachygraphe auront été établies, autrement dit probablement en 2017 ou 2018.
De "slimme tachograaf", d.w.z. de toepassing van de nieuwe satellietgerelateerde technologie, wordt verplicht veertig maanden na de vaststelling van de technische specificaties voor de nieuwe tachograaf, dus vermoedelijk in 2017 of 2018.
