Conformément aux travaux de la plate-forme de Pékin en juin dernier : « Every individual has the right to freely take decisions concerning his/her person, free of correction, discrimination or violence and with full respect for gender equality; every individual has the right to decide freely concerning his/her sexuality, including the right to sexual and reproductive health, free of coercition, violence and gender discrimination».
Op grond van de werkzaamheden van het platform in Peking (juni jongstleden) geldt immers het volgende : « Every individual has the right to freely take decisions concerning his/her person, free of correction, discrimination or violence and with full respect for gender equality; every individual has the right to decide freely concerning his/her sexuality, including the right to sexual and reproductive health, free of coercition, violence and gender discrimination».

Afin de rapprocher les positions des délégations sur la question controversée des « services de santé sexuelle et génésique », le président du comité ad hoc a pris l'initiative de faire insérer une note de bas de page, rédigée comme suit: « The ad hoc Committee notes that the use of the phrase « sexual and reproductive health services » would not constitute recognition of any new international law obligations or human rights».
Om de standpunten van de delegaties over de controversiële kwestie « diensten op het gebied van seksuele en reproductieve gezondheid » meer op elkaar af te stemmen, werd op initiatief van de voorzitter van het ad hoc comité een voetnoot ingelast. Deze luidt als volgt : « The ad hoc Committee note that the use of the phrase « sexual and reproductive health services » would not constitute recognition of any new international law obligations or human rights».

Dans le cadre de la présidence belge de l'Union européenne (1 juillet 2001-31 december 2001), la DGCI a soutenu une conférence internationale sur « Sexual and reproductive health and rights and development » organisée par la Plateforme belge de la société civile sur la population et le développement en novembre 2001 (budget : 37 185 euros).
In het kader van het Belgische Voorzitterschap van de Europese Unie (1 juli 2001-31 december 2001), heeft de DGIS haar steun verleend aan de internationale conferentie over « Sexual and reproductive health and rights and development », die werd georganiseerd door het Belgisch Platform voor bevolking en ontwikkeling, in november 2001 (budget : 37 185 euro).

Il est difficile de différencier les contributions du FED et du budget sur les droits génésiques et la santé de la reproduction (SRHR: sexual and reproductive health and rights/ santé sexuelle et reproductive) qui sont habituellement traitées dans le contexte des appuis au secteur de la santé en générale ou qui peuvent être désignés comme secteurs prioritaires eux-mêmes, ou plus souvent dans le cadre plus large des interventions telles que "l’appui macro-économique".
Het is moeilijk om te differentiëren tussen de bijdragen van het EOF en de begroting voor seksuele en reproductieve gezondheid en rechten. Die gezondheid en rechten worden doorgaans bevorderd in het kader van de ondersteuning van de gezondheidszorgsector in het algemeen.
