Subsequently, in the Joint Statement from the Council and the Commission, made at the JHA Council of 8 May 2003, it was agreed that the Commission would table a proposal for a Directive on the extension of long-term resident status to refugees and persons under subsidiary protection.
Auf der Tagung des Rates „Justiz und Inneres“ am 8. Mai 2003 wurde sodann beschlossen, dass die Kommission einen Vorschlag für eine Richtlinie zur Ausweitung der Rechtsstellung eines langfristig Aufenthaltsberechtigten auf Flüchtlinge und Personen mit subsidiärem Schutzstatus vorlegen wird.
