9. spreekt zijn waardering uit voor de inspanningen die op financieel en commercieel gebied zijn gedaan, en steunt de processen gericht op regionale integratie, zoals de AMU, en initiatieven als het proces van Agadir; verzoekt de Commissie in het kader van de MEDA-programma's de nodige technische bijstand te verlenen, en verwelkomt de conclusies van de Europese Raad in Barcelona over de noodzaak van verhoging van de financiële bijstand aan de mediterrane partners alsmede de door de EIB geplande nieuwe investeringsmiddelen voor de regio;
9. Appreciates the efforts made in the financial and commercial field, and supports the regional integration processes such as the AMU and initiatives such as the Agadir process; requests that the Commission provide the relevant technical assistance within the framework of the MEDA programmes and welcomes the conclusions of the Barcelona European Council on the need to increase financial assistance to the Mediterranean partners as well as the new line of investment planned for the region by the EIB;
