Regrets the absence of a specific action plan for forests and calls on the Commission to prepare one without delay; urges that certification be introduced both for the entire timber sector and for non-timber forest products such as animal species and bushmeat with the aim of preserving and developing the ecological wealth of the forests; calls on the Commission to evaluate existing certification systems and encourage certification for all exploited woodland and forests;
