Bij dit besluit wordt een wijziging aangebracht waardoor IJsland gebruik kan maken van dezelfde afwijking als de ultraperifere gebieden bedoeld in Richtlijn 2004/12/EG betreffende verpakking en verpakkingsafval, gelet op de bijzondere geografische structuur, de geringe bevolkingsomvang en -dichtheid en de landelijke aard van IJsland.
The Decision introduces an amendment allowing Iceland to benefit from the same derogation as the outermost regions referred to in Directive 2004/12/EC on packaging and packaging waste, taking account of the specific features of its geography, its low and sparse population, and the structure of its rural habitat.
