9. is ingenomen met de voorlichtingsstrategie van het Centrum; hoopt echter op verdere maatregelen om deze strategie te ontwikkelen en te versterken, in het bijzonder met betrekking tot informatie en voorlichting aan de burgers, waarbij duidelijk gemaakt dient te worden dat het Centrum een bijzonder belangrijke rol speelt bij de bewustmaking en de bestrijding van racisme en vreemdelingenhaat;
9. Welcomes the Centre's communication strategy but hopes to see further measures to develop and strengthen this strategy especially in the context of information and communication to the citizens where EUMC must be seen as having a particularly important role to play in awareness raising and combating racism and xenophobia;

C. overwegende dat de antwoorden van het Agentschap op bovengenoemde vragen het Parlement in veel opzichten up-to-date informatie hebben gegeven, deze informatie is een aanvulling van de opmerkingen in het verslag van de Rekenkamer over de jaarrekening over 2001 van het Europees Waarnemingscentrum voor racisme en vreemdelingenhaat (EUMC) en de antwoorden van het Centrum op deze opmerkingen,
C. whereas the Agency's answers to the above-mentioned questions, in many respects, provided Parliament with updated information; such information is supplementary to the observations contained in the Court of Auditors' report on the financial statement of the European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC) for 2001 and to the Agency's replies to these observations;
