TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

(5 bis) Gezien het belang van de associatie van de landen en gebieden overzee als doeltreffende vertegenwoordiger van de LGO in hun dialoog met de Commissie en de lidstaten van de Unie, dient die associatie tot actieve medespeler bij de samenwerking te worden gemaakt met als doel de gemeenschappelijke belangen van de LGO binnen de associatie te verdedigen.
(5a) Given the importance assumed by the Overseas Countries and Territories of the European Union Association as an effective liaison body for the OCTs as a group in their dialogue with the Commission and Union Member States, that association should be recognised as an actor of cooperation whose purpose is to uphold the common interests of the OCTs belonging to it.

De Raad stelt op basis van de in het kader van de associatie van de landen en gebieden met de Unie bereikte resultaten en van de in de Verdragen neergelegde beginselen met eenparigheid van stemmen op voorstel van de Commissie de bepalingen vast betreffende de wijze van toepassing en de procedure van de associatie van de landen en gebieden met de Unie anderzijds.
The Council, acting unanimously on a proposal from the Commission, shall, on the basis of the experience acquired under the association of the countries and territories with the Union and of the principles set out in the Treaties, lay down provisions as regards the detailed rules and the procedure for the association of the countries and territories with the Union.
