De Commissie kwam daarbij tot de bevinding dat het risico zeer klein was dat tussen ABN AMRO, Rabobank, Friesland Bank en Landsbanki coördinatie zou gaan spelen die de mededinging zou beperken. Dit soort coördinatie is namelijk verboden door artikel 101 van het Verdrag betreffende de werking van de Europese Unie.
The Commission concluded that any coordination between ABN AMRO, Rabobank, Friesland Bank and Landsbanki which would restrict competition in breach of Article 101 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU was highly unlikely, as the joint venture only represents a small part of the parents' portfolio, and is unrelated to their core activities.
