– having regard to the global and synthesis reports of the UN International Assessment of Agricultural Knowledge, Science and Technology for Development, which were published in 2009 ,

Bij de bevordering van duurzame landbouw moet de Unie zich baseren op de conclusies van de Internationale beoordeling van landbouwkennis, wetenschap en technologie voor ontwikkeling (IAASTD).
In promoting sustainable agriculture, the Union should build on the conclusions of the International Assessment of Agricultural Knowledge, Science and Technology for Development (IAASTD).

COMMUNICATION FROM THE COMMISSION - Science and technology, the key to Europe's future - Guidelines for future European Union policy to support research

De partijen besteden bijzondere aandacht aan de aanwending van wetenschap en technologie ter ondersteuning van de duurzame groei en ontwikkeling van Zuid-Afrika in overeenstemming met de bepalingen van deze overeenkomst, en aan de voortgang van de maatregelen voor duurzame ontwikkeling wereldwijd en de versterking van de Afrikaanse capaciteiten op het gebied van wetenschap en technologie.
The Parties will give special consideration to the harnessing of science and technology to support South Africa's sustainable growth and development, consistent with the provisions of this Agreement, as well as the advancement of the global sustainable development agenda and the strengthening of Africa's science and technology capacities.

a) Voor de coördinatie en vergemakkelijking van samenwerkingsactiviteiten in het kader van deze overeenkomst wordt namens India zorg gedragen door het ministerie van Wetenschap en Technologie (Department of Science Technology) en, namens de Gemeenschap, door de diensten van de Commissie van de Europese Gemeenschappen (Directoraat-generaal Wetenschap, onderzoek en ontwikkeling), welke instanties optreden als uitvoerende organen.
(a) The coordination and facilitation of cooperative activities under this Agreement shall be accomplished, on behalf of India, by the Ministry of Science and Technology (Department of Science and Technology) and, on behalf of the Community, by the services of the Commission of the European Communities (Directorate General for Science, Research and Development), acting as executive agents.
